Aluu 4: Four suspects granted bail on Anniversary

Public outrage in Aluu community in Port Harcourt, Rivers State following the news that
bail was granted to ALUU 4 Suspects. The reaction to the bail comes a little over ALUU 4 one year anniversary where four young students of the University of Port Harcourt were killed Friday morning Oct. 5th 2012. We are still hoping that justice will one day be served. Continue to rest in peace, Tekena, Ugonna, Chiadika and Lloyd.

A Port Harcourt high court on Thursday morning October 17th granted bail to four out of the twelve suspects facing trail in the murder case of the four Uniport students. The four released on bail are: Omoikiri Aluu monarch: Alhaji Welewa, Okoghiroh Endurance, Ozioma Abajuo and Chigozie Evans Samuel.

Presiding Judge, Justice Letan Nyordee granted them bail on grounds that their offense is not a capital offense and is bailable. They were granted bail to the tune of N2 million and asked to submit their passports.
