Make Firefox run faster

Got a slow connection ??

Why don't enhance speed of browsing by following the steps below:

Step 1

Just go to the address bar and type "about:config" without quotes.

A page will appear warning you about the consequences of what might happen to your application if you do this. Click on "I'll be careful, I promise!"

Now you have all the hidden settings of Firefox infront of you.

DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING HERE BECAUSE THIS MIGHT SERIOUSLY MESS THINGS UP!

Now we are going to tweak these settings to get more out of Firefox! Again, be very careful with everything.

MAKING FIREFOX FASTER

Step 2

Okay, so now once you have the settings infront of you, go to the top where a bar is present with the label "Filter:".

In this bar type 'network'. The very long list of options will get shortlisted to the only containing the word 'network'.

Step 3

Search for the option 'network.http.max-connections-per-server' and double click on it and set the integer value to '50'.

Step 4

Now search for the option 'network.http.pipelining' and double click on it to set the boolean value to 'True'.

Now locate the option 'network.http.pipelining.maxrequests' and set the integer value to '10'. Don't make it larger than 10 because you might get banned from some website.

Now enjoy browsing with faster speed.

How to Create Shutdown Shortcut in Windows 8

Many of us find tedious job to shut down your windows 8 PC. You have to take your cursor to the right hand corner of the screen then the pop menu occurs then select the power option and finally click on shut down, a fairly long procedure so today we will learn how to make a shortcut to shutdown windows 8 faster. And the procedure goes by following the steps below:

Step 1

Select the basic procedure of creating a shortcut by right click the home screen and selecting the shortcut button. You will see the window below:

Step 2

Now type the command to shut down windows, under the heading "type the locations of the items:"

shutdown.exe -s -t 00

Step 3

Click on next and give a name to your shortcut like shut down button or simply shut down and finally click on finish to complete the procedure.

Step 4 (Optional)

You can change the icon and select the power off icon or shut down icon by clicking the properties of the shortcut and selecting the change icon button.

How to boot your windows 8 faster

First of all, open your control panel and look for power option or press windows+w and then search for power option.

Step 2

Step 4

Now simply check on the option Turn on fast startup( Recommended ) to enable fast startup.

Step 5

Shut down your computer and start again and enjoy fast startup.
