The world mourns the news that Nelson Mandela is dead.

Freedom fighter, reconciler, peacemaker, voice and conscience of Africa. Mandela died at the age of 95. The Nobel Peace Prize winner and first black president of South Africa died in the late hours of Thursday, December 5,2013 President Jacob Zuma said on Thursday evening in a televised speech.

"He's like no other the spirit of a common South African nation embodies," Zuma said. "This is the moment of our deepest pain. Nelson Mandela has brought us together. And together we will say goodbye to him."

"Let us live the values, fought for Mandela," the visibly moved Zuma to the South African people said directed. He ordered that all flags be lowered to half mast and announced that there would be a state funeral for Mandela.
